Little joys.

Spring shows more and more.

Yesterday between showers I got some more of my pots of bulbs placed at the front of the house.
I worked on two collaged boxes - more of them later in the week and I looked through my photo library to give you a little look at things in Kerjacob.

All feathers found here or given to me by friends.

Pie looking very aloof !

Tortue and Samuel together - he loves that.

Today I woke to sunshine but the heavy showers and grey skies are back now so it will be another day of getting on with my cards and boxes.

New work.

Outside today there is sunshine but we've also had heavy showers.
I really want to be able to go out and get jobs done but the ground is still too wet.

On Wednesday I started to create some more cards.

The gold on the left is handmade paper.

The little coloured pieces I've made using a batik ( wax resist ) on paper and then used dyes for the colours. The dyes give a lovely intense colour.

The hand written piece is from the 1800's.

Its interesting to work on different coloured backgrounds and with different pieces for the collage.

The little coloured rectangle is batik and dyes.

Nature's secret and troc treasures.

On Sunday I went off to a small troc about twenty minutes from Kerjacob.
Within five minutes I saw a little blue plate which I really liked so in it went into my linen bag.

Later I saw two small rugs which I just had to have.
The couple who I bought them from were just lovely, they were delighted I loved the rugs and I told them they would have a safe home with me.

In the afternoon Mr P was starting to dig over the vegetable garden, the weather has been so wet, it's not easy.
He'd moved a large stone but found a secret there which he said I just had to see.

So out with the camera and this beautiful salamander was then re-hidden, carefully, under his stone .

More designs.

I've managed to make a few more designs for my cards.
All are collaged, each one is slightly different.
I've still got more ideas just need the time !

My new cards.

When I have time I have been busy making new cards.
I search through all my ' bits ' that I've been collecting for many years.

Any cards can be ordered direct from me - just send me a message or email me with what you would like. Cards can also be made to order for special occasions - just ask.

Hope today goes well for you.
Here it is very windy and I'm going to keep working and keep warm with the wood stove cheering me.
All the cats have wisely decided to keep me company !!

St Valentine.

A detail from one of my new cards - just right for today.

This was the card I made for my love.

Here we are and my book find.

A beautiful sunny morning here and more and more it feels that Spring is on its way.

I found this lovely book in Emmaus last week - I love the book jacket.

Today we're going to go for a walk, I can hang my washed linen sheets out to dry and I can work for a while in the garden.
It cheers the heart.

My hopes and thought are also with the Egyptian people - what bravery and strength they have shown.
Let's all hope that their lives will go as they wish.

Nearly there !

In our downstairs washroom there is a small window that I love.
The little lace curtain was one of eight that I bought locally, all old, handmade and perfect.

The white hyacinths are turned everyday and soon, very soon, they'll be in full flower.
Spring is starting to arrive - wonderful.

Time Flies- the finished collage.

Yesterday as well as starting to make some new cards I finished my first box framed collage.

Photographing with the glass wasn't easy but the frame, which is part of the whole picture, needs to be there too with its collage of old pieces of French documents.

Today I will hopefully have some time to do more work on the new cards.

Look who has come to live at Kerjacob !

On Thursday the little yellow post van arrived with a parcel for me.
Wrapped in brown paper and tied with string I knew what it was.
Carefully I untied the string and unwrapped the paper.
Opening the box and lifting out the red tissue paper there she was!

A wonderful little rabbit from The Vintage Magpie.
She's rather shy at the moment but I'm sure she'll be very happy here and well loved.
As yet she hasn't got a name.
