A rare talent.

I am very much looking forward to a new exhibition at Galerie Tremel in Gouarec,
Cote d'Armor, Brittany.

The exhibition runs from the 1st August to the 7th August.

The paintings are by Jean Michel Offresson.

The title of the exhibition  is " La Musique des Choses "

For me the colours in the painting above remind me of some of Bonnard's work.

I just love the use of colour  and the subject matter in its simplicity.

Kerjacob's Summer garden.

Summer has certainly arrived over the last few weeks.
There are days when trying to work outside can be almost
too much with the heat.

I couldn't resist bringing this little girl home
especially as she was in the sale !!

Everything is going mad but we really could do with
some heavy or gentle rain - just rain really.

Every evening sees us out with the hose and watering cans - luckily we have a well
so don't need to worry about the water meter spinning round !

I am so pleased with the colour of the geraniums I got this year, they are just beautiful.

This year seems really to have suited the roses, everywhere around here is overflowing
with their blossom.

This one is climbing higher and higher up our whitebeam and is enjoying the sunshine
so much, it looks glorious.

The cardoons seem to grow taller every day and soon their purple flowers will open.

We moved this enormous pot about two weeks ago to a part of the garden that is virtually all stone.
I am very pleased the way it looks here.

An exciting exhibition.

At a small gallery in Gouarec, about 20 minutes from where we live
there are series of exhibitions in July and August.

The first exhibition is by a friend of mine, Jill Jamieson.

She loves being by the sea and the exhibition is especially based on the coastlines of Brittany.

Jill loves to look in the rock pools and observe the life within them.

She has also begun to look at the Celtic burial sites which are so
prevalent in this area of France.

So if you have the chance to be in Cote d'Armor in the next few weeks
go and visit the Gallery Tremel in Gouarec.

You won't be disappointed.
